NEWARK, N.J. – NJIT men's basketball head coach
Grant Billmeier has announced the third member of his 2025 recruiting class, welcoming Rocco Awad to the Highlanders.
"We are very excited to welcome Rocco into our program," said Billmeier. "Rocco brings a versatile skillset and will be able to score, distribute, and defend at a high level for us. Rocco will space the floor for us, as he was one of the premier shooters we put our eyes on."
Awad is a 6-1 shooting guard who comes to Newark from Windsor, Ontario. He attended Saunders High School and most recently played for London Basketball Academy. Awad also spent time on the AAU circuit with Suns Elite.
"Rocco is an extremely hard worker and loves being in the gym working on his game," Billmeier said. "We can't wait for Rocco to get to campus and get to work."
