Box Score Newark, N.J. – The NJIT men's tennis team wrapped up its home schedule with a 5-2 victory over Delaware on Tuesday afternoon at Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreation Center. The victory gave NJIT a perfect 10-0 mark at home for the second straight season.
"It was a great day for us today," said Head Coach 
Marco Matteucci. "We beat a really good team that has a lot of wins this year and is always a rival. They always compete well."
The Blue Hens were able to start off the match on the right foot, taking the doubles point to hold the early advantage. In singles, NJIT was able to turn the tide, with 
Pablo Perez Ramos notching a 6-0, 6-2 win in No. 1 singles to get the Highlanders rolling. 
Wil Jenkins followed with a win on the No. 4 court, while 
Soma Fukuhara was able to notch a straight sets win in the No. 5 slot, 6-2, 6-4. The clinching point came from 
German Lopez Andujar, who earned a 6-4, 7-5 win in No. 6 singles to solidify an NJIT victory. 
Nejc Skorjanc also added a singles win for the Highlanders, battling to a three-set victory on the No. 2 court, 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 7-6 (7-2).
"This win today is similar to last year's match and I hope it gives us the momentum needed to go into the conference tournament," Matteucci said. "We want to peak in April, and this match showed us that we are on the right track. We have another day tomorrow where we need to take of business to finish off the regular season, but this was a great win for our guys! Roll Tech!"
