CAMBRIDGE, MA--The NJIT women's tennis team saw its eight-match win streak snapped at Harvard, 7-0, Sunday afternoon in women's tennis action inside the Murr Center.

The Crimson claimed the doubles points and swept the six singles contests to earn the 7-0 sweep over the Highlanders.

Highlanders duo Irene Cocero and Laura Wipfli showed determination at first doubles competition, with an unfinished match at 3-3.

Harvard won in straight sets in singles competition but the Highlanders did not go down without a fight.

Wipfli and Shalom Salvi fought to the very end of each of their matches at first and third singles, coming up short, 6-2, 6-3.  At the sixth spot, Feyza Aydin battled but ultimately dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision.

NJIT will make its return to the court on Monday, March 17 against Stetson at 10am in DeLand, Florida.
