Box Score Washington D.C. – The NJIT men's tennis team earned its second win of the weekend, clinching a 4-1 victory over Georgetown on Sunday morning.
Unlike NJIT's last match on Friday at Monmouth, the Highlanders started off on the right foot by claiming the doubles point.
Pablo Perez Ramos and
Nejc Skorjanc picked up a convincing win on the No. 1 court, 6-2, while
Oscar Callo von Platen and
Soma Fukuhara earned a 6-1 win on Court No. 2.
In singles, the bottom of NJIT's lineup got the job done.
German Lopez Andujar earned a win in No. 5 singles, 6-4, 7-6, while
Tom Sorin coasted to a straight sets win on the No. 6 court, 6-0, 6-4. Callo von Platen clinched the match for NJIT by rallying from a set one defeat, 1-6, 7-5, 6-1, on the No. 3 court.
