BOSTON – NJIT men's basketball freshman guard
Quentin Duncan has been named America East Co-Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning. This marks the second time Duncan has received the weekly honor from the conference, as he was also named Rookie of the Week back on Jan. 6.
Duncan scored 18 points and connected on all four of his three-point attempts in Saturday's defeat at UMBC. The Waterbury, Conn. native nailed three of his triples in the first half and scored nine points in each half. He was key in the Highlanders' late rally against the Retrievers, including drawing a foul on a three-point attempt with 8:20 to play, sinking all three free throws to cut the deficit down to five.
Duncan and the Highlanders return home for two games this week, starting with a matchup against Vermont on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
