NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT men's volleyball team has been ranked No. 19 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Poll the organization announced on Monday.
NJIT, who entered the AVCA poll for the first time in 2025, have won six in a row and are coming off a thrilling 3-2 victory over then-ranked No. 20 George Mason on February 7.
The six straight wins are the most in a row since the 2022 season. The last time NJIT defeated a top-20 team was in the 2022 season when the Highlanders went five sets with No. 12 UC San Diego on January 28.
After a pair of losses to open the 2025 season against then-ranked No. 9 Grand Canyon, the Highlanders have victories over Roberts Wesleyan, Queens (NC), Saint Francis U, LIU, Dominican (NY) and most recently George Mason.
Next Up
The Highlanders will continue its five match homestand and host Princeton on Valentine's Day, February 14 at 6pm inside the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center.
