GAME NOTES AT NAVY 11.22
NEWARK, NJ – NJIT continues their road trip as the Highlanders travel to Maryland on Saturday, the 22
nd to take on Navy for a 12:00 p.m. start time. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Drexel Recap
- The Highlanders fell to Drexel 75-43 on Tuesday night.
- NJIT went into the break down by 14 points and shot 6-26 (23.1%) and 1-10 from deep (10%) and finished the game shooting 12-52 from the field (23.1%) and 3-24 from behind the arc (12.5%).
- Leading the way for the Highlanders was sophomore Ari Fulton who had another solid performance with 13 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Malachi Arrington followed with nine points and three rebounds, and freshman David Bolden scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds.
NJIT vs. Navy: All-Time Series
- This is the fourth all-time meeting between the Highlanders and the Midshipmen.
- Midshipmen hold the series record 2-1.
- The last matchup dates to 12/7/2024 where the Highlanders took down the Midshipmen in Newark 69-64.

- Fulton was named America East Co-Player of the Week (11/17) averaging 17.0 PPG and 12.0 RPG.
- Bolden was named America East Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row (11/17) averaging 15 PPG and 6 APG.
- The Highlanders are ranked as the number three scoring defense in the conference with 71.0 PPG, ranked number one in field goal percentage defense with 37.8% and ranked number three in 3-point FG percentage defense with 27.1%.
- Fulton is ranked second in the conference in rebounds per game with 8.2.
- Bolden is tied for second in the conference in steals with 1.8 steals per game.

- Newcomers to Newark include Melvyn Ebonkoli, Jeremy Clayville, Rocco Awad, Zack Scherler, AJ Altobelli and David Bolden.
- The Highlanders non-conference slate is filled with tough opponents including the AP Preseason No. 11 Louisville.
- Bolden's 18 points at Fordham (11/4) is the most points scored by a freshman in their debut since Damon Lynn in 2013. Damon had 21 points at Tulane on Nov. 8, 2013.
- The last time the Highlanders started off a season 3-1 was back during the 2015-16 season.
