BALTIMORE, MD – The NJIT women's volleyball team drops their final non-conference matchup on Tuesday night to Coppin State in four sets.

The final non-conference match of the season for the Highlanders was as close as it can get. After narrowly dropping the opening set, 25–23, the Highlanders used that momentum in the second set to stay within striking distance as every set this match was a point for point affair.
Set three proved to be the NJIT's breakthrough as sophomore
Ema Torres took over, tying her career high in kills with 22, and helped the Highlanders storm back from halfway through the set to win 26–24.
The fourth set was the same as the previous three with both teams going back and forth. However, Coppin State edged out a 25–23 win to secure the match win.
For the Highlanders, freshman
Giselle Parker recorded a career high of 12 kills and 13 points and senior
Mariana Cova recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs. Sophomore
Cece Marino also played well by recording 29 assists and held down the back line with 10 digs.
