BOSTON - NJIT men's basketball freshman Quentin Duncan has been named America East Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday morning.

Duncan made his collegiate debut on Saturday afternoon in the win over Medgar Evers and did not disappoint. He went for a team-high 26 points and knocked down eight 3-pointers on the afternoon. Duncan's eight makes from behind the arc are the most by any America East player so far this season, and are the most in a game by a Highlander since Adam Hess nailed a school-record 10 threes against Medgar Evers on Dec. 23, 2023.

Duncan and the rest of the Highlanders open up America East play on Thursday night when they host UMBC inside the Joel & Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center. Tickets can be purchased here. Students get in for FREE!
