NJIT's Marissa Gingrich and Olivia Kulyk each scored 10 points for the Highlanders while Madilyn Dogs paced NJIT on the boards with seven.   Kulyk, a five-time America East Rookie of the Week, finished the game 5-of-6 from the field while Gingrich shot 4-for-9 from the field to go along with four rebounds.

Vermont got off to a hot start in the first quarter 20-6 and took a 22-point halftime lead, 32-10, outscoring the Highlanders in the second quarter, 12-4.

NJIT began the second half on a 8-2 run, slimming the Catamount deficit to 16, 34-18, on a jumper in the paint by Olivia Kulyk at the 5:03 mark.  Kulyk connected on a nice pass from Enya Maguire to end the quarter with the Highlanders down by 22, 43-22.

The fourth quarter saw NJIT use an 8-4 spurt to begin the quarter paced by six points from Marissa Gingrich, closing the gap to 18, 48-30, at the 6:45 mark, the closest the Highlanders would get to the Catamounts.

In the final 3:30, NJIT scored six of the final eight points of the game but it wasn't enough as Vermont registered its fifth win in a row in the conference with a 60-38 victory.

Vermont was led by two players who scored in double-figures Thursday – Keira Hanson (19) and Nikola Priede (10).   Anna Olson and guard Bella Vito shared game-high honors with eight rebounds.
