EIVA Conference Official Release
NEWARK, NJ–Carson Williams, Andrew Fedmasu, Griffin Fieseler and Alessandro Negri were selected to the 2024 EIVA All-Conference teams while eight Highlanders were named to the EIVA All-Academic team the organization announced Tuesday.
Williams, from Allen, TX was one of 10 players selected to the EIVA first team while Fedmasu from Plainfield, IL, Fieseler from Bound Brook, NJ and Negri from Reggio Emilia, Italy were all selected to the EIVA second team.
Carson Williams - EIVA First Team
Williams, the Highlanders middle blocker, ranks second in the EIVA in hitting percentage (.439) and fifth in blocks (0.87). WIlliams combined for a career-best 18 kills at Harvard and a personal-best 10 kills vs. Charleston (WV). In 2022, Williams earned EIVA Honorable Mention.
Alessandro Negri - EIVA Second Team
Negri, the Highlanders outside hitter and a three-time All-EIVA honoree, ranks sixth in the EIVA in kills (3.15) and 10th in hitting percentage (.278). He combined for 14 matches with double-digit kills and registered a season-best 26 kills vs. Purdue Fort Wayne.
Griffin Fieseler - EIVA Second Team
Fieseler, NJIT's starting setter, ranks second in the EIVA in assists (9.41). He has recorded double-digit assists in all 25 matches, including a career-best 57 assists vs. Charleston (WV). In 2021, Fieseler earned EIVA Honorable Mention.
Andrew Fedmasu - EIVA Second Team
Fedmasu, the Highlanders middle blocker, ranks fourth in the EIVA in service aces (0.38) and seventh in blocks (0.86). He combined for a career-best 16 kills at Harvard and nine digs vs. Saint Francis U. For the season, Fedmasu is hitting .476.

No. 4 NJIT will open up the 2024 EIVA Conference Tournament on Wednesday, April 17 when the Highlanders face No. 5 Harvard. First spike is set for 7pm on BTN+.
NJIT, winners of the last three out of four matches, concluded the regular season with a sweep at Harvard.
A win on Wednesday for NJIT, the Highlanders will face No. 1 Penn State on Thursday, April 18 at 7pm on B1G+.
