NEWARK, N.J. – NJIT men's basketball head coach
Grant Billmeier has announced the first signing of his 2025 recruiting class, welcoming David Bolden to the Highlanders.
Bolden, a 6-foot point guard, comes to Newark after playing high school basketball at Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wis., just outside Milwaukee.
"We are extremely excited to welcome David to NJIT and to the Highlander family," Billmeier said. "David is a hard working, athletic, and skilled guard with enormous upside.
Bolden has been an important piece for Nicolet over his career, winning 70 games so far through his first three seasons. His 4.3 assists per game as a junior last season ranked 10
th in the state of Wisconsin. Bolden has also played travel ball for Kevon Looney Power 5 AAU.
"He comes from a great program at Nicolet High School," added Billmeier. "David is a leader and a floor general and I know he will have a huge impact on our program and community the day he steps on this campus."
