NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT men's tennis team earned the fourth seed in the eight-team 2023 Southland Conference Tournament, which will begin on Thursday at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.
The Highlanders enter the event with a 15-7 overall record.
NJIT earned the fourth seed based on its ITA ranking and will take on fifth-seeded Lamar in Thursday's quarterfinal round.

The Highlanders have been led all season by redshirt freshman
Pablo Perez Ramos, who carries a 17-3 record into the tournament. Perez Ramos has competed strictly at the #1 singles position this year and also boasts an impressive 14-7 doubles record while pairing with multiple partners.Â
Another standout for NJIT this season has been freshman
Wil Jenkins, who is 15-4 in singles play this year. Senior
Amine El Kholti and freshman
Nejc Skorjanc both have 11 singles victories this season.
The Highlanders match vs. Lamar on Thursday is set to begin at 2pm (CT).
