Box Score 2 NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT men's tennis team celebrated its six seniors on Friday in between a pair of matches as the Highlanders were first edged 4-3 by Delaware at Branch Brook Park before bouncing back for a 7-0 victory over Baruch in the Naimoli Tennis Center on campus.
NJIT honored
Juan Bejarano,
Amine El Kholti,
Ammar Fekry,
Josh Smith,
Samuel Townes, and
Adrian Tudor with a ceremony prior to the match against Baruch.Â
The Highlanders record now stands at 15-6 on the season.
"Certainly not the result we vs. Delaware," said Head Coach
Marco Matteucci. "They competed well and we just couldn't get things going in certain spots, including doubles again. During the Baruch match we celebrated our seniors and all the hard work they put in over four seasons. They will all be missed, but I am also excited for the next chapters in each of their lives."
NJIT wraps up its regular season on Sunday with a 1pm match at Monmouth.
