Five-Member Class Set To Join Women's Soccer Program

NEWARK, N.J. — NJIT Women's Soccer head coach Ally Nick has announced the signing of a five-member recruiting class that will continue their academic and athletic careers at NJIT beginning in the Fall of 2023.

Joining the Highlander program are: Julia Bullock, Sydney Burlingame, Madison Miller, Victoria Terranova, and Kennedy Westbrook.

"We are very excited to welcome these five individuals to our program. They all come from different locations across North America and different playing backgrounds. They all bring something different but also wanted to be a part of the tradition of what it means to be a NJIT Women's Soccer player on and off the field. We have a lot of America East playoff experience returning within our team and look forward to this class coming in to add a spark and compete."

JULIA BULLOCK | F | TORONTO, ONTARIO | BISHOP ALLEN ACADEMY | AIFC TORONTO
Prior To NJIT:
Competed with AIFC for coaches Maddie Hill and Manuel Corona…three-time Provincial Screening Competition selection (2019, 2020, 2022)...Ontario Women's Soccer League Indoor Champions (2022)...named Top 60 C/O 2023 Players FTF Canada…multi-sport athlete, competing in hockey (ten years of youth competition), cross country (competed at OFSAA) and flag football (two-time City Champions in 2019 and 2022; named MVP and team captain).

Personal: Julia Ann Feness Bullock…daughter of Kerry Feness and James Bullock...intends to major in Applied Physics or Environmental Science.

Prior To NJIT: Competed at Desert Vista for head coach Jack Soutar and AZSC Thunder 05G Johnson in club...2022: named Most Outstanding Student Athlete and Second Team All-Region…2020: named to All-City team and earned league Golden Boot…for AZFC: Team Captain (2019-2023), AZ USYS State Champions (2018), AZ USYS State Runner-up (2019 & 2022), Arizona Premiere League 1st Place (2020-2022)

Personal: Sydney Emma Burlingame-Grissom…daughter of Tiffany Grissom and Sherry Burlingame…intends to find a major within Engineering.


MADISON MILLER | GK | SAN JOSE, CA | VALLEY CHRISTIAN HS | FC BAY AREA SURF ECNL
Prior To NJIT: Competed at Valley Christian for head coach Kendra Stewart and FC Bay Area Surf ECNL for coach Heath Piper…academically, was a Scholar Athlete and National Hispanic Recognition Award recipient…completed a number of dual credit courses while in high school at West Hills CC, Colorado Christian, and William Jessup University.

Personal: Madison Nichole Miller…daughter of Daniel and Jessica Miller…intends to major in Law, Technology, and Culture.


VICTORIA TERRANOVA | D/M | STATEN ISLAND, NY | SAINT JOSEPH HILL ACADEMY | MONMOUTH CEDAR STARS ACADEMY 
Prior To NJIT: Competed at Saint Joseph Hill for head coach Robert Libertelli and for Monmouth Cedar Stars Academy GA and coach Andrew Giallombardo…at SJH: four-year starter as a defender and forward…NYS High School Class A 1st Team, NY All State and NY All City selection…NY Tier One All Star Player…CHSAA NY Girls MVP…two-time Archdiocesan Varsity Champion…with CSA: selected for ODP Region 1…team Co-Captain and National player from  2017-2021…Selected for Regional/National team that competed in Iceland and Amsterdam…2018 Interregional Boca Champions.

Personal: Victoria Terranova…daughter of Lisa and Richard Terranova…intends to major in Biology

Prior To NJIT: Competed at Waverly for head coach Tara Hogan and with BC United 04 for coach Paul Marco…scholastic accolades include an IAC Divisional Championship (2022), IAC South Large School MVP (2022), Valley Sports Report Player of the Year (2022), two-time Section IV Elite Soccer Team selection, Fifth-Team Class B All-State selection and IAC Large School Offensive & Defensive Player of the Year…also competed in basketball and track. 

Personal: Kennedy Elizabeth Westbrook…daughter of Heather and Jamie Westbrook…intends to major in Sports Management
