Sunbury, PA – NJIT earned their first victory of the season with a solid effort over the Susquehanna River Hawks.

The Highlanders started strong with Brendan Smith, Rohan Ganta and Ryan Downey scoring to take a 3-0 lead in the 1 st period. The River Hawks got on the board in the 2 nd period with a pair of goals, but Downey answered with his 2 nd goal of the game to make the score 4-2 going into the final period. Noah Bergen and Sal Micciche sandwiched a River Hawks goal with a pair in the 3rd period to account for the final score of 6-3
