Despite their late surge, the Highlanders left with a 9-1 loss to the undefeated Spartans, marking their third defeat in MCHC conference play.
Freshman goaltender Noah Gibb faced an incredible 44 shots throughout the game, demonstrating exceptional determination despite the loss.
