SMITHFIELD, RI - The NJIT women's volleyball team was defeated in straight sets by host Bryant on Friday evening in America East Conference action at the Chase Athletic Center.

Bryant took the first two sets 25-18 and 25-20, before clinching the match with a 25-15 third-set victory. 

Adriana Goetz-Morales and Elley Torres each finished with eight kills, while Juliana Impaglia and Maddie Dennis each dished out 11 assists. 

Doga Emil's 10 digs were a team-high and Torres and Rowan Schreiber each recorded three blocks in the match. 

NJIT will look to bounce back on Sunday when it hosts UMBC at 3pm in the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center.
