NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT men's volleyball team will play in the 2022 EIVA Conference Championship match on Saturday, April 23 when the third-seeded Highlanders face fourth-seeded Princeton inside Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State University.
The last time NJIT appeared in the EIVA Championship match dates back to 1999 when the Highlanders, competing in Division II, dropped a 3-2 decision to Penn State.

The two teams split the regular season series, with both teams earning 3-1 victories.
How We Got Here?
NJIT earned the third-seed in the tournament after finishing the season with a 10-6 mark in the league.
NJIT picked up a pair of 3-1 victories over No. 6 George Mason in the quarterfinals and upset No. 2 Harvard in the semifinals to earn a spot in the EIVA Championship match.
The 17 wins for NJIT this season marks the most wins since the 2007 season when NJIT finished with 19.

Scouting Princeton
Princeton (14-10) advanced to the EIVA Conference championship match after upsetting top-seeded Penn State, 3-2, in the semifinals of the tournament. The Tigers handed No. 2 Nittany Lions its first loss in 19 matches.
The Tigers extended its win streak to as many as nine and the win over No. 2 Penn State was the highest ranked opponent Princeton has defeated.
Princeton will make its fifth overall tournament final after guiding the Tigers in 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2019.
