AVCA Official Release

LEXINGTON, KY – The NJIT men's volleyball team has been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) with the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award, honoring the Highlanders' outstanding academic achievement during the 2025-26 academic year.

The honor marks the 10th AVCA Team Academic Award in program history and the seventh consecutive year that NJIT has earned the distinction.

The Highlanders posted a 3.406 cumulative team grade-point average during the 2025-26 academic year, continuing the program's tradition of excellence both on the court and in the classroom.

A total of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball programs received the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award after maintaining a year-long team GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale).
