NVA/AVCA Division I-II Coaches Poll (March 7)

NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT men's volleyball program has been voted the No. 15 team in the nation in this week's NVA/AVCA Division I-II Coaches Poll the organization announced on Monday.

NJIT started out the Preseason ranked No. 15 (December 20, 2021), received votes (10) last week (Feb. 28) and rejoined the top 15 poll after combining for 22 total points.

After a 1-1 week for NJIT, the Highlanders picked up a straight set victory over Cal State Northridge and battled out a tough four-set loss at No. 2 Long Beach State.

NJIT dropped a pair of matches to open the 2022 season at then-ranked No. 9 Lewis and No. 8 Loyola Chicago and won its next seven matches, including a five-set thriller over then-ranked No. 12 UC San Diego (currently ranked No. 10).

The Highlanders went five sets with EIVA preseason favorite, then-ranked No. 4 Penn State (currently ranked No. 3) on February 26.

NJIT will host No. 8 Ball State on Friday, March 11 inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center.  First spike is set for 6pm on the America East Digital Network.
