Final Results

SOUTH BEND, IN–Kevin Katayama wrapped up the 2022 campaign at the NCAA Men's Fencing Championships on Sunday at the Castellan Family Fencing Center hosted by Notre Dame.

Katayama from Oakhurst, NJ, placed 23rd in the men's foil competition, registering six wins in 23 bouts.

An USFCA Honorable mention made his first trip to Nationals after, recording a ninth place finish in the men's foil event at the 2022 Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals.  

Katayama combined for a 49-22 overall record, for a 69% winning percentage in the regular season.  

He was a member of the foil quad that earned gold at the 2022 MACFA Championships.
