NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT women's fencing team defeated visiting Fairleigh Dickinson, 13-7, in a dual meet Wednesday morning inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center.

Four different Highlanders – Marina Arrese, Paula Zugasti, Cindy Yang and Paloma Almodovar recorded 3-0 records on their respective strip.  

The women's saber squad, which consisted of Almodovar, Yang and Zugasti went a perfect 9-0 for the meet.

NJIT will return to action on March 12 at the NCAA Regionals hosted by Princeton.
