NEWARK, NJ– The NJIT men's basketball team will hit the road for the fourth time this season on Tuesday when it travels north to take on host Sacred Heart in Fairfield, CT.
Game Information
Tipoff is slated for 1pm inside the William H. Pitt Center on the campus of Scared Heart. The game will be streamed free of change via NEC Front Row.

Miles Coleman scored 23 points and narrowly missed a double-double with eight rebounds as the NJIT men's basketball team suffered a 58-53 setback to American in its home opener on Saturday afternoon at the Wellness and Events Center.
Highlander Highlights
* Tuesday's game is the fifth of the 2022-23 season -- which marks NJIT's 17th participating in Division I, third as a member of the America East and sixth in the Wellness & Events Center (WEC).
* Tuesday's matchup between NJIT and Sacred Heart is the second all-time and first at SHU. The two teams met last season in Newark.
* Miles Coleman scored 23 points in NJIT's last game vs. American, following up a 28-point performance at San Diego, That mark is the most for a Highlander since Coleman set a career-high of 30 on Jan. 6, 2022 at UMass Lowell. Coleman has scored 20 or more nine times in 42 career games at NJIT.
* Coleman is the only returner among the America East's top 10 scorers from a season ago. The senior averaged 15.6 ppg last season, which ranked fifth in the league. Coleman also averaged 5.7 rpg in 2021-22, the seventh-best mark in the league.
* NJIT returns seven players from its 2021-22 squad and welcomed seven newcomers to this year's team. The Highlanders brought in four graduate transfers and three freshmen.
* Six of NJIT's 14 players have completed their undergraduate degrees and are working towards their Master's. Souleymane Diakite and Kjell de Graaf graduated from NJIT last May, while Justin Anderson (Bloomsburg), Adam Hess (E. New Mexico St.), Kevin Osawe (Arkansas-Little Rock), and Raheim Sullivan (Marist) come to NJIT from other institutions.
* Paul McMillan IV is the highest-rated recruit to sign with the Highlanders. The 2021-22 Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year was ranked 126th in the Rivals.com rankings.
* Souleymane Diakite and Kjell de Graaf are both in their fifth seasons with the Highlanders. Da'Mir Faison is the next longest tenured player as he is on the roster for the fourth season.

The Highlanders will return home and host Wagner on Sunday at the Wellness and Events Center in Newark. Tip-off is slated for 2pm and the game will be streamed on ESPN3.
