NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT men's basketball team hits the road in search of its third-straight victory on Sunday, traveling to Easton, PA, to take on Lafayette.

Tipoff is slated for 2pm at the Kirby Sports Center in Easton, PA. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
Last Time Out
The NJIT men's basketball team won its third-straight home game Thursday, defeating visiting St. Elizabeth 76-43 at the Wellness and Events Center.
The Highlanders won back-to-back games for the first time this season and are now 4-3, while the Division III Eagles are still looking for their first victory after eight games. NJIT improves to 31-0 against non-Division I opponents since making the jump to Division I, including a 24-0 record against Division III squads.
"I thought we came out and looked a little tired, especiallly after playing two games against St. John's and Sacred Heart in the past few days," said Head Coach Brian Kennedy. "I liked the way we shared the ball today.
Matt Faw and Dylan O'Hearn each scored 16 points to pace the Highlanders, while Miles Coleman chipped in with 14.
All-Time Series
Sunday's matchup is the 12th all-time between the Highlanders and Leopards, with Lafayette holding a 7-4 series lead. Lafayette won first four, including the series opener in 2006, while NJIT won the most recent matchup, a 96-80 victory on November 17, 2017 in Newark.
NJIT vs. the Patriot League
Since moving to Division I, NJIT is 15-26 vs. Patriot League opponents, with its most recent contest being a victory at Lehigh on November 13. Following Sunday's game at Lafayette, the Highlanders will play one more Patriot League squad - Army West Point - on Friday, December 10 in Newark.

America East Conference
NJIT will begin its second season in the America East and will play a schedule of 18 conference games against the other nine schools. The Highlanders became the 10th full member of the America East on July 1, 2020.
The Highlanders were predicted to finish eighth out of the 10 league teams in the preseason coaches poll.
Next Up
After playing three games in five days, and five games in 11 days, the Highlanders will enjoy four days off before hosting Army West Point next Friday at 7pm at the Wellness and Events Center in Newark.
