NEWARK, NJ–Maximus Barboto will join the NJIT men's soccer program in January 2022 head coach Fernando Barboto announced.

The 5-foot-7 center attacking midfielder attended Wayne Valley High School and played for New Jersey Copa FC.

"I think Maximus is a player that has all the talent to impact the team immediately," said Barboto.  After his summer experience playing for USL2 and in Costa Rica during his gap year, it will surely lead him to really help our attack."

Barboto intends to major in mechanical engineering at NJIT.
