NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT men's basketball team returns to the court on Saturday when it travels to Queens to take on St. Johns in a game that will be nationally televised on Fox Sports 2. 

Game Information
Tipoff is slated for 4pm at Carnesecca Arena in Queens. Pat O'Keefe and Tariq Turner will have the call on FS2.

All-Time Series
Saturday's matchup is the sixth all-time between the Highlanders and Red Storm. SJU has won four of five thus far, with NJIT's victory coming in the most recent contest on Dec. 20, 2015. Damon Lynn scored 34 points to lead the Highlanders past St John's, 83-74. Since moving to Division I, NJIT is 1-23 against BIG EAST opponents, with its lone win being the aforementioned victory over St. John's. The Highlanders most recent BIG EAST foe was Providence in the 2019-20 season.

Last Time Out
 Miles Coleman scored a game-high 17 points and pulled down a career-best 10 rebounds for his first double-double as a Highlander on Wednesday as the NJIT men's basketball team held off visiting Fairleigh Dickinson 62-54 in a mid-week matinee at the Wellness and Events Center.

"It was a tough, hard-fought win," explained Head Coach Brian Kennedy. "We knew they would throw a lot at us, and they definitely did. But, I think we handled it well."

America East Conference
NJIT will begin its second season in the America East and will play a schedule of 18 conference games against the other nine schools.  The Highlanders became the 10th full member of the America East on July 1, 2020.

The Highlanders were predicted to finish eighth out of the 10 league teams in the preseason coaches poll.

NJIT returns back to action on Tuesday when it hosts Sacred Heart at the WEC. Tip-off is slated for 7pm.
