DURHAM, NH - The NJIT women's volleyball team was defeated on Sunday, falling to host New Hampshire in America East Conference action.
UNH won the first two sets 25-12 and 25-13, respectively, before clinching the match with a 25-19 third set victory.
NJIT was led by
Ines Varela, who recorded nine kills to go along with a pair of blocks. Varela ranks second on the Highlanders this season with 39 blocks.
Juliana Impaglia handled the setting duties for NJIT and dished out 19 assists, while
Elley Torres finished with a team best nine digs to go along with four kills.
The Highlanders return to action on Friday when they return home to host UMBC at the Wellness and Events Center. First serve is slated for 6pm.
