WEST HARTFORD, CT - The NJIT women's volleyball team traveled to take on Hartford in America East Conference action on Sunday as were defeated by the Hawks in straight sets.
Hartford took the opening two sets 25-16 and 25-18, respectively, before winning a much closer third set 25-21 to clinch the match.
The Highlanders were led by
Adriana Goetz-Morales, who finished with a team-high nine kills, while swinging .316.
Juliana Impaglia handled the setting duties for NJIT and dished out 26 assists.
Ines Varela led the Highlanders in blocks with five, including a solo block.
NJIT returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to New Rochelle, NY, for a non-conference match at Iona. First serve is scheduled for 7pm.
