NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT women's volleyball team was defeated in four sets by visiting UAlbany on Sunday afternoon at the Wellness and Events Center.
The Great Danes took the first two sets 25-17 and 25-20, respectively, before NJIT won the third set 25-18 tp extend the match. UAlbany won the fourth set 25-17 to clinch the match.Â
NJIT was led by
Adriana Goetz-Morales, who tallied 10 kills, while
Ines Varela chipped in with nine to go along with six blocks (two solo).
Juliana Impaglia once again handled the setting duties for NJIT and dished out 28 assists.
Kaitlyn Arias,
Udo Nwosu and
Cami Augustine each fininished with eight digs to pace the Highlanders.Â
NJIT returns to the court on Friday when it travels to Stony Brook for another America East contest. First serve is slated for 6pm.Â
