SPORT: Men's Volleyball

With concern for the safety, health and well-being of our student-athletes, staff and fans, and in conjunction with the decisions of the main conferences of our eight member schools, the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association has canceled all competition (conference and non-conference) for the remainder of the season.

The EIVA Executive Committee convened by conference call on March 13 and unanimously voted to end the 2020 season, covering both competition and formal practices. This includes not awarding a regular-season team championship.

The EIVA is incredibly disappointed its programs and student-athletes will not be able to complete their seasons, including the final seasons for seniors, but the decision has the best long-term interests of all students, staff and fans in mind.

In addition, the EIVA will postpone honoring its three-man Hall of Fame class until the 2021 season.

The EIVA is looking forward to a return to the court as well as hoping to see the continued growth of men's volleyball across the country.
