NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT men's tennis team welcomes East Carolina to the Naimoli Tennis Facility on Sunday as the Highlanders look for their first victory of the young season.
Sunday's meeting is the first-ever matchup between NJITÂ (0-2) and ECU (4-1).
"We are looking forward to hosting East Carolina at NJIT," said Head Coach
Ira Miller. "They're a good team and we expect a battle. With five of our six singles starters being freshmen, we are quickly gaining tough match experience that will serve us well when we start our ASUNÂ Conference schedule."
Tin Dizdarevic has won both of his singles matches this season and projects to be in the lineup at #2 singles on Sunday.Â
ECU lost to St. John's on Friday and will play Hofstra Saturday before wrapping up its three-match trip to the NYC metropolitan area in Newark on Sunday.
First serve is slated for 12pm.Â
