NEWARK, DEL. -- The NJIT men's lacrosse team closed the longest road stretch of the season with a 13-1 loss to the Delaware Blue Hens Saturday afternoon at Delaware Stadium.

Owen Corry connected for NJIT's only goal of the day, tying the contest at 1-1 with 8:18 left in the first quarter on Kaden's fifth score of the year and Corry's second career assist.

John Tachon paced the Highlanders with four caused turnovers and freshman
Liam Brown matched former Highlander
Alexzander Hunt (at No. 13 Lehigh, 2/2/19) for the fifth-highest single-game save total in school history (19). Brown's save total is also currently tied for third-most in a game nationally.
Despite Brown's efforts, the Highlanders were unable to take advantage of a closely played first quarter (2-1) and allowed 12 unanswered goals in the final three periods.

NJIT will start a four-game homestand on Saturday, February 22 against Lehigh. First faceoff at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium is scheduled for Noon.
