Vermont exploded for 22 first-quarter points after taking an early, 16-4 lead, holding a 13-point advantage, 22-9 after the first 10 minutes of action.

The Catamounts continued its hot shooting into the second period, using an 11-3 run to extend its lead to 20, 32-12, at the under five media.  In the final 3:15, NJIT used a short 6-3 spurt to head into the half down 18, 39-21.

Vermont scored the first seven points of the third stanza and a Grace Plummer three-pointer, sparked a 8-1 run in the final 6:30 for a 47-29 score.  Squier went 3-for-4 from the field in the run.

Litwinko led the Highlanders with eight points in the fourth quarter and pulled NJIT to within 15 of the Catamounts, 50-44, the closest the Highlanders would cut the deficit.
