NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT women's volleyball team will continue its long road swing on Tuesday, September 10, when its travels to Bethlehem, PA, to take on Lehigh in a 7pm non-conference matchup. 

Last Time Out
NJIT is coming off of its first victory of the season, a come-from-behind 3-2 win over host Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, September 7. The Highlanders trailed by a set on two occasions and found themselves down 13-10 in the fifth set before scoring three-straight points to tie the set. FDU answered with a score to create a match-point scenario, but NJIT scored three in a row again to clinch the match and earn first-year head coach Pedro Trevino his first victory with the program.

Honor Roll
Merritt, a freshman, and senior Madi Busler have eached picked up an All-Tournament Team honor so far this season. Merritt was honored for her performance at the Terrier Classic in Brooklyn, while Busler was rewarded for her efforts at the FDU Knights Classic in Hackensack, NJ. 

Scouting Lehigh
Lehigh won all four of its matches last weekend as it hosted the Crosstown Invitational, defeating Penn, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Delaware St., and Manhattan. The four victories came after the Mountain Hawks dropped their first three matches of the season at the Sports Import Classic hosted by Ohio St. 

Series History
Tuesday's match is the sixth all-time between Lehigh and NJIT. The Highlanders won the first two matchups in the series, but Lehigh has won the last three including a straight-set victory last season in Newark. 

UP NEXT
The Highlanders return to action on Friday and Saturday when they head north for the Sacred Heart Invitational. NJIT will take on host Sacred Heart on Friday at 6pm, before playing Fairfield Saturday at 11am and Northeastern Saturday at 4pm.
