NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT men's soccer team looks to continue its hot streak, visiting Radford on Saturday in Virginia. Kickoff is slated for 3:30pm on ESPN+.
NJIT (2-0-2) remains undefeated through the first four matches of the season for the fourth consecutive year.

All-Time Series
Saturday will make the first all-time meeting between the two schools. Coincidentally, Radford and NJIT share the same nickname (Highlanders).
Last Time Out
The NJIT men's soccer team remains undefeated in 2019 after playing to a 1-1 home double overtime draw against visiting Drexel Wednesday evening in non-conference men's soccer action at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium.
Transfer
Regsan Watkins got the Highlanders on the board in the 37th minute, assisted by freshman
Alejandro Rabell. Watkins, joined the Highlander squad after playing two seasons at Division II Bloomfield College. The goal marked his first goal as a Division I player, after receiving a pass from Rabell in the midfield, which was slipped through two Drexel defenders and tucked away to the left of the Dragon keeper.
ASUN Conference Players of the Week
After a strong start to the 2019 campaign for the NJIT men's soccer team, redshirt junior
Rene White and freshman goalkeeper
Samuel Reisgyshave been selected ASUN Conference Player and Defensive Players of the Week.
White, a Preseason ASUN All-Conference selection picks up his first ASUN Player of the Week honors this season (second of his career) while Reisgys shares ASUN Defensive Player of the Week with Lipscomb's Noah Gulden.
United Soccer Coaches Top 25 NCAA D1 Atlantic Region (as of Sept. 9)
Following an undefeated start to the 2019 season, the NJIT men's soccer team climbed up four sports in the latest United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region poll released on Tuesday.
NJIT, starting at 2-0-1, jumped up four spots, which saw a shift from the rankings a week earlier.
Having been ranked No. 6 in the Atlantic Region debut poll, NJIT went 1-0-1 last week, playing to a 2-2 double overtime draw in the home opener on Labor Day against Fordham and picked up the programs first-ever win over VCU, 1-0, in overtime, at defending regular season Atlantic 10 champions.
NJIT opened the 2019 campaign recording a 7-0 shutout at Sacred Heart. The seven goals scored are the most scored by a Highlander team in the Division I era since the 2013 season when NJIT scored six goals against Howard on November 10. The program mark stands at nine, accomplished in 2006.
ASUN Rankings
NJIT's seven goals scored and seven assists in the win over Sacred Heart in the season opener are both ASUN match highs this season.
With a 2-0-2 record, NJIT is one of two undefeated ASUN squads. NJIT is one of 42 undefeated teams remaining in the NCAA.
NJIT has two players ranked in the top two in goals –
Rene White, who leads the league with four goals and
Thomas Radon, ranked tied for third with a pair of goals. White also paces the league in points with nine.

Alejandro Rabell ranks tied for first in assists (2) and sits tied for fourth in points with four.
Reisgys ranks second in the ASUN in three categories: saves (20), save percentage (.870) and goals-against average (0.68).
2019 NJIT Outlook
After finishing with a 6-11-0 overall mark last season, fourth-year head coach
Fernando Barboto will feature 11 newcomers as the Highlanders open the brand new state-of-the-art facility, Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium.
Rene White, named to the ASUN Preseason All-Conference team, returns after a 2018 season which saw him lead the team in goals (11) and points (24). His totals in both statistical categories ranked him third in the ASUN for the season and helped him earn an ASUN All-Conference Second Team selection.
Scouting Radford
Radford owns a 1-2-1 record heading into Saturday's contest against NJIT. The Highlanders earned a 0-0 draw in their last match against the College of Charleston on Sunday.
Joseba Incera notched his first career shutout in Radford's most recent match against the College of Charleston. Incera had five saves against the Cougars and has 11 saves in two matches played.
Amadou Macky Diop was named Big South Conference Attacking Player of the Week after netting a hat trick in Radford's 4-3 overtime win over UNC Greensboro.
Radford is playing its fourth home match of the season. The Highlanders are 1-2 at Cupp Stadium this year.
