JACKSONVILLE, FL—North Florida used a 15-3 run over the final 6:06, paced by Jazz Bond's game-best 15 points on its way to a 54-46 victory over visiting NJIT in ASUN Conference women's basketball action in the regular season finale for both teams at UNF Arena.
North Florida improves to 14-13 overall, 9-7 in the ASUN while the Highlanders move to 6-23 overall, 3-13 in the ASUN.
NJIT, the No. 8 seed in the 2019 ASUN Conference Tournament will visit No. 1 FGCU on Friday at 7pm inside Alico Arena. NJIT will face FGCU for third time in the last four seasons in ASUN Conference postseason action.
In addition to Bond's 15 points, forward Dasha Eremeeva recorded a double-doubles, combining for 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Danielle Tunstall registered her seventh double-double, netting 13 points and grabbing 10 rebound while graduate student
Tatianna Torres was one rebound shy a double-double, netting 11 points and nine rebounds.
North Florida scored the first four points of the contest but the Highlanders answered with five straight of their own, for an early, 5-4 lead. Both teams traded baskets over the final four minutes, as the Highlanders used a 6-2 run to close out the quarter ahead by one, 13-12.
NJIT went on a 6-0 spurt early in the second quarter to push ahead, 19-14, thanks to four straight points by
Tatianna Torres at the eight-minute mark and extended its lead to 22-16 at the 6:21 mark.
After three minutes of scoreless action, the Ospreys scored four consecutive points, slimming the Highlander lead to one, 22-21. An old-fashion three-point play by Tunstall, gave NJIT a 25-21 advantage and held a three-point lead, heading into halftime, 28-25.

Ellyn Stoll with six points. North Florida's Arianna Emanuel-Wright scored six points for the home team.
The Highlanders continued its momentum into the third quarter, with NJIT's all-time three-point leader
Kelly Guarino knocking down a trey ball, putting the Highlanders ahead, 31-27, at the 8:04 mark.
Neither team scored over the next two minutes, until a layup by Arianna Emanuel-Wright, which broke the ice followed by four straight points by NJIT's Tunstall gave the visitors a 38-25 advantage. A quick four points by the Ospreys, put the home team ahead, 39-38, and one of two made by Stoll, knotted the game at 39-all.
