NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Florida Golf Coast in ASUN Conference action on Friday, November 15, at the Wellness and Events Center.
FGCU took the first two sets 25-17 and 25-9, respectively, before taking the third set 25-9 to clinch the match and win the ASUN Regular Season Championship. The Eagles will host the ASUN Tournament next weekend as the top seed.
Madi Busler tallied a team-best 11 kills to lead the Highlanders, while
Liz Benson dished out 21 assists for NJIT. Busler and
Olivia Welsch each finished with double-digit digs, recording 10 each.
The Highlanders wrap up their season on Sunday when they host their annual Senior Day match against Stetson. First serve against the Hatters is slated for 3pm back at the WEC.
