KENNESAW, GA - The NJIT women's volleyball team was defeated in straight sets by host Kennesaw State in ASUN Conference action on Tuesday, October 29.
The Owls took the match 25-15, 25-14, 25-18 to improve to 9-2 in ASUN action and remain one game behind Florida Gulf Coast in the standings.
NJIT attacked .172 in the match, but the Owls were even more impressive, hitting .410, while adding seven service aces.
Madi Busler (eight) and
Susan Blake (seven) combined for 15 kills for the Highlanders. Blake's seven kills came against just three errors in 15 attempts for a .267 hitting percentage.
Liz Benson dished out 19 assists to lead NJIT.
The squad returns home for two ASUN matches this weekend, taking on North Florida on Friday at 6pm and Jacksonville on Sunday at noon. Both matches will take place in the Wellness and Events Center.
