KENNESAW, Ga. --- NJIT women's soccer's attempt to snap its two-game losing streak was unsuccessful as the Highlanders were defeated by the Kennesaw State Owls, 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

NJIT (5-6-3, 2-3-1 ASUN) ends its regular season road schedule with a 2-6-1 overall mark.

Fiona Wright (3 shots) and Katrina Nguyen-DeMary (2 shots) took the majority of the Highlanders' nine shots in the contest but NJIT was unable to score a goal for the third consecutive game. 

Starting goalkeeper Molly Saylor played all 90 minutes, making five saves despite allowing the game's lone goal.

Kennesaw State (9-7, 4-3 ASUN) netted the decisive score just before the end of the first half, converting a 30+ yard free kick with a header just outside the six-yard box.
