Madison Borowiec scored two goals for the Bobcats (3-4), while Selena Salas tallied the third goal.
For the Highlanders (4-2-1),
Fiona Wright opened the scoring in the 18
th minute, when she finished a shot off the deflection of the Bobcat goalie, giving NJIT the 1-0 lead going into halftime.
Quinnipiac tied it up in the first minute of the second half on Borowiec's first goal of the game, a diving header off a free kick.
Salas scored the game-winner converting a penalty kick and Borowiec added her second goal of the match to secure the win for the Bobcats in the 73
rd minute.
The Highlanders held an edge in overall shots, outshooting the Bobcats, 15-12, paced by senior
Arianna Gerber, who tallied six.
Goalkeeper
Amelia Sapirman made four saves for NJIT while Charlotte Edmunds made four saves in the win.
NJIT will return to action when the Highlanders host Temple on September 14 at Kean University East Campus. Kickoff is slated for 3:30pm.
