PHILADELPHIA—The NJIT women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision against Rider Saturday afternoon at the La Salle Invitational.
The Highlanders will wrap up the La Salle Invitational against Kent State at 5pm.
NJIT (1-8) picked up a 32-30 victory in the first set but Rider (4-2) bounced back with wins in the next three frames – 25-19, 25-23 and 25-9 to secure the win.
Senior right side hitter Hailey Riede combined for 13 kills for Rider, notching a .414 hitting percentage on 29 swings and just one error. Senior Savannah Logan recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs to go along with five total blocks (one solo, four assists).
Freshman setter Anilee Sher combined for a double-double of her own, notching 43 assists and 12 digs.
Three Broncs posted double-digit digs paced by Rachelle Runyon with 18 followed by Brynn Sherbert (16) and Logan (10).

Marissa Soistman combined for 33 assists while senior libero
Adriana Nieto recorded 30 digs.
