PHILADELPHIA—The NJIT women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision against Rider Saturday afternoon at the La Salle Invitational.

The Highlanders will wrap up the La Salle Invitational against Kent State at 5pm.

NJIT (1-8) picked up a 32-30 victory in the first set but Rider (4-2) bounced back with wins in the next three frames – 25-19, 25-23 and 25-9 to secure the win.

Senior right side hitter Hailey Riede combined for 13 kills for Rider, notching a .414 hitting percentage on 29 swings and just one error.  Senior Savannah Logan recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs to go along with five total blocks (one solo, four assists).

Freshman setter Anilee Sher combined for a double-double of her own, notching 43 assists and 12 digs.

Three Broncs posted double-digit digs paced by Rachelle Runyon with 18 followed by Brynn Sherbert (16) and Logan (10).

NJIT was led by senior middle Jovana Baosic's team-best 13 kills.  Freshman setter Marissa Soistman combined for 33 assists while senior libero Adriana Nieto recorded 30 digs.

Freshman middle Marina Markaki added four kills and four total blocks (all assists).
