PHILADELPHIA – Kent State swept NJIT women's volleyball 3-1 in their final match at the La Salle Tournament on Saturday evening.
The Flashes (6-5) finished out the tournament with a win, 25-19, 25-20, 25-10, after falling to both Rider and La Salle.
Kathryn Ellison led the match with 13 kills and also recorded 12 digs, while Alex Haffner made a mach-high 2 assists and Kaeleigh Stang 15 15 digs.
The Highlanders (1-9) had the 6-5 advantage in blocks with
Marina Markaki earning a match-high four blocks.
Iva Mandic led the attack with five kills and
Adriana Nieto tallied 14 digs.
Next up for NJIT is the Sacred Heart Tournament on September 14-15 where they will take on host SHU, URI and Binghamton.
