FAIRFIELD, CT - NJIT women's volleyball dropped its first match, 3-0, at the Sacred Heart Invitational against host Sacred Heart Friday evening.
Sacred Heart (5-4) won in straight sets 27-25, 25-16 and 25-21. Liisel Nelis led all hitters with 10 kills in her teams win while teammates grabbed Giana Scioletti and Sarah Cizek posted match-high in blocks (5-Giana Scioletti) and assists (27-Sarah Ciszek).

Adriana Nieto and Sacred Heart's Alix Polk shared match-high honors, earning 11 digs each.
Jovana Baosic led NJIT (1-10) in kills with nine followed by
Madi Busler with eight.
NJIT will return to action on Saturday at 12:30pm against URI and 4pm against Binghamton.
