NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT men's soccer team will begin a three-match homestead, first welcoming George Washington on Saturday at 2:30pm. The match will be played at Rutgers-Newark Alumni Soccer Stadium.
UPDATE: The location of the men's soccer match between NJIT and George Washington, scheduled for Saturday, September 15, has been moved to Rutgers-Newark Alumni Soccer Field. The match originally scheduled for 3pm at Kean University East Campus Facility, is now slated for 2:30pm at Alumni Soccer Stadium due to unplayable field conditions at Kean University East Campus.

All-Time Series
NJIT leads the all-time series, 3-1. Last season, the Colonials defeated NJIT, 1-0, on Brady O'Connor's converted a penalty kick in the 52nd minute and Thor Arne Höfs posted seven saves to earn the shutout.
Scouting NJIT
NJIT, bounced back to the win column with a 1-0 win at St. Francis Brooklyn on Wednesday, after suffering its first loss of the 2018 season at Drexel.
The Highlanders are one of 16 teams in the NCAA with at least five wins this season (5-1-0).
Redshirt sophomore
Rene White's six goals on the season, currently ranks tied for fourth in the nation (as of September 14) and leads the ASUN Conference, matching his freshman output (six goals) from 2016 and points with 16. He has scored six of NJIT's nine goals this season while adding one assist, totaling 13 points on the season.
Andrew Nino's four assists pace the team and the ASUN Conference while goalkeeper
Victor Pujades has played every minute in goal, posting a 0.82 goals against average with an .792 save percentage. Pujades has combined for three shutouts on the season, an ASUN best.
Scouting George Washington
George Washington (2-3) looks to get back on the winning track after losing a pair of road contests last weekend. Joshua Yurasits scored his first career goal last Friday, but the Colonials fell to Brown, 2-1, in overtime. Two days later, they dropped a 1-0 decision at Providence.
Yurasits turned his first shot attempt of the season into his first career goal, sliding to put home a cross from Oscar Haynes Brown in the 74th minute against Brown.
The sophomore defender ranks second among Colonials with five points, already three more than he had during his first season in Buff and Blue. With three assists, he ranks tied for second in the Atlantic 10.
With seven goals and 16 points through five games, Haynes Brown remains among the national offensive leaders. The sophomore from England ranked second in the nation in goals and points per game through Tuesday behind only Denver's Andre Shinyashiki, who has eight goals and 17 points in five games.
