FORT MYERS, FL - NJIT men's tennis fell 6-1 to ASUN opponenet FGCU on Thursday night.

The Highlanders drop 1-2 in conference, and the Eagles improve to 2-2.

"So close in doubles", head coach Ira Miller said about the match. "About to close it out at three but second doubles lost a close one. In the singles credit FGCU for playing the big points well. Jan got us on the board with one of his best matches of the season."

NJIT's lone win came from Jan Cimrman in second singles who defeated Ezequiel Cerrini 7-6, 4-6, 10-7.

The Highlanders will stay in Florida and compete against Florida Atlantic on April 7 for a 10am match.
