HOBOKEN, NJ - NJIT men's fencing extends their win streak to 13 after posting four wins at the MACFA B Round-Robin hosted by Stevens on Sunday.
The Highlanders (23-10) earned wins against Yeshiva (26-1), Army (25-2), Hunter (21-6) and host Stevens in their closest match-up winning 15-12.
The foil squad went 34-2 on the day. Freshmen
Dominic Heise and
Thomas Manley were the top NJIT foilst's, with Heise going undefeated at 10-0 and Manley getting himself an 8-1 record.
In men's epee,
Gal Gluhic was the top Highlander performer earning an 11-1 record on the day with
Eduardo Ezcurra posting a 10-2 record.
The epee squad went 30-6 at the round-robin and the sabre squad was 23-13.
Both men's and women's fencing will host their first events in the new Wellness and Events Center on February 18. The men will host he MACFA B vs C and the women will host the NJIT Invitational.
