FLORENCE, AL—North Alabama picked up its second straight ASUN Conference win with a 3-1 victory over visiting NJIT Tuesday evening in ASUN women's volleyball action at Flowers Hall.
North Alabama (2-13 ASUN, 4-20 overall) was led by Michay Jackson and Madison Ruble each posting, 10 kills each.
After splitting the first two sets, North Alabama finished strong to take the match 25-21, 19-25, 25-16, 25-23 victory.
The Lions were strong at the net, combining for 13 total blocks on the night. Ruble posted a career-high eight blocks to go along with her .222 hitting percentage.
Senior Jayden Davila-McClary paced the offensive attack with 31 assists while three players reached double figures in digs.
Genesis Benítez led the way with 24 digs, eclipsing the 20-dig mark for the sixth time this season.
Catie Ladner added 13 digs while Emma Ellis rounded out the top defensive performers with 11 digs for the Lions.
NJIT (2-13 ASUN, 4-27 overall) was paced by freshman
Lillee Olson's 14 kills followed by
Madi Busler with 12 kills.
