NASHVILLE, TN—Lipscomb swept visiting NJIT 3-0 (25-11, 25-15 and 25-19) in ASUN Conference women's volleyball action at Allen Arena Friday evening.
The Bisons improve to 12-9 overall, 8-1 in the ASUN while the visiting Highlanders fall to 4-20, 2-7 in the league.
Lipscomb's Ca'Layci Coffey was tied for a match-high 12 kills with NJIT's
Madi Busler also tallied a dozen. Coffey has finished in double figures in kills in the last four matches in a row. She has been in double figures in kills in seven matches this season.
Carlyle Nusbaum and Lauren Anderson each posted a match-best 12 digs for the Bisons.
Busler led the way for the Highlanders with 12 kills, combining for a .429 hitting percentage on 21 attempts.
NJIT setters
Liz Benson and
Marissa Soistman recorded 13 and eight assists respectively.
Junior
Olivia Welsch paced the Highlanders with nine digs followed by Soistman and Busler with four each.
NJIT will return to action on Sunday at 2pm when the Highlanders visit Kennesaw State.
