Men’s Tennis Falls Short, 4-3, to Bryant

WEST POINT, NY—The NJIT Men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Bryant Sunday morning at Army in West Point, NY.

Highlander sophomores Lukas Zvikas and Zac Castagna turned in a strong performance in doubles, defeating Bryant's Luke Lorenz and Artur Jakubowski in a hard-fought 7-5 match victory.  Bryant, however, would go on and take the doubles point, as the Highlanders dropped decisions in the remaining two matches.

In singles, junior Jan Cimrman pulled out a thrilling straight-set victory, defeating Bryant junior Luke Lorenz, 7-6, 7-6.

NJIT's Aleksa Petrovic and Zac Castagna also turned in solid straight-set victories, but it wasn't enough, as Bryant would post victories in the remaining singles matches, including Bryant's Arthur Jakubowski, who defeated NJIT's Richard Rangga in three sets, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6,

The Highlanders will look to bounce back quickly, as they will face host Army at 5pm.
